Bionic fish submarine

Submarine concept with fish-like propulsion, developed through design, prototyping and functional testing of a scale model.
Sattech Engineering worked on the design of a submarine concept using bionic, fish-like propulsion. The project was developed in two phases: the first focused on the complete 3D design of the submarine, while the second explored the practical feasibility of the concept through prototyping and testing.

A 1:5 scale model was created to test key functions, including movement, speed, cockpit stability, synchronized motion of the four linked body sections and self-balancing behavior. Special attention was given to the movement of the front cockpit part, which needed to remain as stable as possible during operation.

After the model was designed and presented, there was further interest in advancing the concept and exploring automated surveillance applications for the bionic fish submarine.
